A love poem in space
I looked above at
a sky of wonder. It's
Galvanic marbles
static in fear of
any wishful sorrow
as they flew above.
Time
stops when I look
out my window
to your face
in the sun's pale gaze
or along grass dew's
glass reflections.
When time restarts
I stand frozen.
Reminded of how our
worlds are two frozen
suns in the voids of
a sheer improbability.
An inescapable trap
be it love or lusts.
Still, I
could not love another
even if I could not
love myself. Don't fear
the words I have whispered
in my drunken sleep, or
my bloodshot stare.
Just one chance.
